as usual, the saints rowonline side of the game is completely optional, but its also a good place to quickly relax and unwind your body or your saints rowfandom. in addition to the regular benefits of saints row ivonline, a new saints row ivmembership entitles you to the rewards of the online activities too, which include unique customizations, new weapon and power-up bonuses, and more, all without having to play the online portion of the game. this online component also has a platinum trophy to shoot for too, which leads all the way to its own unique visual skins, a perfect opportunity to go crazy and make a character that people will be jealous of.

the weapons in the game are almost entirely excellent and fun to use, from the standard array of futuristic weaponry, tosaints rowunique devices like the youboob (basically a shrunken version of the youboobus, which attaches to the back of your head and plays songs when theyre activated, effectively allowing you to whistle louder), and the very disturbing battle bong.
the music in the game is generally excellent too. the saints are still a gang of anarchists who love the chaos that comes with blowing shit up (though they like to keep the shooting part to a minimum), and often take pride in the soundtrack that accompanies their playtime. the downloadable game includes all the songs featured insaints row ivbesides the main title theme (which isnt included in the game), adding a massive 380 pieces of music in all. i got a good chuckle out of playing the main title theme in saints row ivwhile listening to the saints row ivmusic during the main game, since the irony there is practically visceral.
